1. Pg 1. “The Contracting Officer representative (COR) will define changes or adjustments in the

Ans. No

2. Pg 2 “Interpreters shall be provided to conduct virtual face to face interpretation when they are in discussion rooms.” ~ Is this to provide consecutive interpretation?

Ans. Yes

3. Pg 2 ~ “The Contractor shall ensure that all interpreters possess a bachelor’s degree, Political

Science preferred.” ~ CCI Group has an interpreter with an associate degree but has worked as a trainer in DOD settings, would this be acceptable?

5. Are you planning to give preference to a particular minority set aside program?

6. Do interpreters need to be in the US at the time of the event? Would it be ok if they are overseas?

Ans. Yes, the interpreters will need to be in the U.S. at the time of the event. Overseas interpreters will not be permitted.

7. We have some questions regarding RFQ HQ003423R0063 Executive Seminar Simultaneous Interpretation Services.

Typically, virtual appointments do not require any equipment since all the participants are virtually in the meeting. Are any team members physically joining in a room and only the interpreters will be online? If yes, do the team members in the audience have receivers to listen to the message? If not, what is the actual plan/expectation for this event?

Ans. No team members are physically joining in a room; refer to section 5 of the Performance

Work Statement for Location of Performance.

8. Regarding this RFQ for remote simultaneous interpreting services for the NESA Center for Strategic

Studies, in the Performance Work Statement we can read “The Project Manager must be able to coordinate, manage, and run hybrid and Zoom conferences”. We were wondering whether the Zoom platform itself will be provided by the NESA Center our not, in which case the contractor should also provide the Zoom platform for the Seminar.

Ans. The Zoom platform must be provided by the Offeror for the Seminar.
