After transferring System B to bypass during annual PMS it was difficult at first to get current readings on bypass cables inside MBC.
Within a few minutes the amp readings as listed above became available but these amp readings are not what the system was delivering to load before transfer to bypass. Before transfer the system was delivering over 300 KW to the load. Within about 20 minutes of load loss on system, Don Erickson reset all load breakers and full load (300 KW plus) was delivered to load again. At this time it appears that all load breakers may have tripped after transfer but the reason has not yet been determined.

A test was conducted Wednesday, 7/19/2011 presided over by Rob Walker with Bill Thomas, George Corron, Piyush Patel, Matt Morris and others in attendance. Test purpose was to reproduce loss of load on system as experienced 7/7 but, despite multiple transfers to bypass no load was lost from system and no load breakers tripped. Although no load was lost it was determined that , when transferring to bypass by dropping module 1 first the system experienced “Transfer Lockout” due to UPS loads on modules 3 and 6 having skewed and reduced output voltages (440s for phases A and B and 460s for phase C).
Group agreed to have MC Dean troubleshoot system and then re-attempt test again later.
