VENDOR VISITS FOR MEDIA ASSESSMENT
The Government has received requests to allow potential digitization partners an opportunity to visit the DIMOC facility at Riverside, CA and physically review select material. In response to these requests, we are offering an opportunity to interested vendors to schedule a day for media review and assessment. Due to time and resource constraints, all visits will be limited to one vendor per day, with each vendor’s assessment period being limited to a single day. Scheduling visits can begin immediately and dates will be assigned first come-first served. Due to aforementioned time constraints, we must limit assessment visits to Monday-Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please note that while onsite, Government representatives will only answer questions specific to the media being reviewed. Questions regarding the Statement of Objectives, solicitation, or other technical considerations must continue to be sent to the Contracting Officer for posting to FedBizOps.
All visits must be coordinated in advance and will require visitors to provide Government approved identification to gain access to the facility. Please contact the Chief of VI Programs, Mr. Joe Harris (951-413-2412) to schedule an assessment appointment. In order to make the best use of the limited time available onsite, we request that interested vendors forward their specific interests, subjects, titles, collections, etc. to the Government so that material can be pulled and prepared for viewing ahead of time. Once an assessment date is established, a POC from the DIMOC staff will be available for coordination of pulling material.
Please note that since this assessment period is being offered late in the solicitation period, and in order to allow as many interested vendors as possible the opportunity to physically assess portions of the holdings, the Government is extending the closing date of this solicitation to 31 May 2013, 2 PM (EST).
Proposals shall be labeled and mailed at the following address by the date and time indicated on the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. No facsimiles or emailed proposals are permitted:
