About this file
This file is a procedural guide for the Southampton Student Center Structural Floor Replacement Project, a capital improvement initiative by the State University of New York at Stony Brook. The project involves replacing the deteriorated structural concrete slab in the Main Kitchen's first floor, which has sustained water damage beneath the former dishwashing rooms. The scope of work includes shoring existing concrete masonry unit walls, replacing the structural concrete floor slab, installing limited structural steel beam infills, providing floor sinks and floor drains, and installing the finished floor system. All work must be completed within 270 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must register their companies on the Jaggaer web-based procurement platform to access bid documents and submit proposals. The bid reference is SUNY at Stony Brook BID# 26/27-007MC with PRC#2026021138.
Pricing and cost details are not specified in this procedural document. The university will manage separate contracts for hazardous materials abatement and removal, kitchen equipment installation, electrical systems, and plumbing systems (excluding floor sinks and drains). Bidders should access the complete bid documents through the Jaggaer Supplier Registration portal at https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin and the public bid site at https://bids.sciquest.com/apps/Router/PublicEvent. Questions regarding the solicitation may be posted on the Q&A Board located under the "Review & Submit" tab, where interested parties can click "Ask a Question" to submit inquiries.
