The Rally racing course of instruction (COI) shall provide students with a thorough understanding of safe and fundamental driving skills of operation, inherent platform risks and capabilities in a Rally environment and terrain. The COI shall begin with platform familiarization, basic field repair, mechanical instruction, basic operation of vehicles, and progress in difficulty to develop and hone student’s driving and terrain negotiation skills. The intent of this course is to learn the skills necessary to negotiate obstacles not encountered in existing driving courses (i.e. hills, mud, rain, snow, and ice) using vehicle platforms specified below, and to learn basic maintenance needed to keep these vehicles operational.
