FWC SOLICITATION ADDENDUM 2

BEGIN ADDENDUM

QUESTION #1

Are USL&H, Jones Act or MEL coverages required for this contract?

I am asking because it does not specify in section C3on Page 16. It also mentions Self

Insuring. Based on my experience, USL&H is required for all over water work, particularly in navigable waterways. There is not a worker’s comp exemption that is applicable for USL&H related work which would also void the opportunity to self-insure.

ANSWER #1

The contractor is responsible for determining and obtaining any and all insurance necessary to complete the project. Contractor will make such documentation available upon request.

QUESTION #2

Is a state license required to perform this work?

ANSWER #2

The contractor is responsible for obtaining any and all licenses necessary to complete the project.

Contractor will make such documentation available upon request.

QUESTION #3

Is the contractor responsible for the presence of coquina, rock or hard bottom when drilling is required to install pilings?

ANSWER #3

Is it the responsibility of the contractor to know the project conditions. Site visits are encouraged prior to the bid submission. Field changes can be made in certain circumstances, but the contractor must always receive prior authorization in these instances. Please see Section 17 in the Supplementary Terms and Conditions (page

53).
