About this file

The document is a Local Vendor Preference Certification form from the Collier County Procurement Services Division in the State of Florida. The form is designed to help vendors demonstrate their status as a local business within Collier County by meeting specific criteria, including maintaining a physical business address within the county limits, having a County business address listed with the Florida Department of State, and operating in an area zoned for their business type.

To qualify as a local business, vendors must contribute to Collier County's economic development through measurable means such as job retention, expanding employment opportunities, supporting the county's tax base, and having employees and principals residing in the county. Additionally, vendors must possess a current local Business Tax Receipt issued by the Collier County Tax Collector prior to submitting their bid or proposal. The form includes a certification under penalties of perjury, where the vendor affirms the accuracy of the information provided, and warns that misrepresenting local business status could result in losing local preference privileges for up to one year.
