About this file

This document is an Insurance and Bonding Requirements specification from Collier County, Florida, detailing comprehensive insurance and bonding guidelines for vendors and contractors. The document outlines specific insurance coverage requirements, including Workers' Compensation (statutory limits), Employer's Liability ($500,000 per occurrence), and Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence with $2,000,000 aggregate). Additional requirements include Automobile Liability ($500,000), Performance and Payment Bonds for projects over $200,000, and provisions for subcontractor compliance.

Key stipulations include that Collier County must be named as "ADDITIONAL INSURED" on insurance certificates, with a 30-day cancellation notice requirement. The surety for Performance and Payment Bonds must be rated "A-" or better, with specific constraints on policy holders' surplus. Vendors must provide certificates of insurance meeting all specified provisions, and the certificates must be addressed to the Collier County Board of County Commissioners with specific contact details. The document emphasizes that by submitting a bid, vendors accept these insurance requirements and agree to maintain the specified coverages throughout the contract or work performance period.
