About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Proposals issued by the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Airports Division for maintenance services of the Video Monitoring and Access Control System (VMACS) at Lihue Airport, State Project No. BK1644-53. The addendum, dated May 19, 2026, provides responses to ten requests for information submitted by prospective bidders prior to the May 28, 2026, proposal due date. Key facility information disclosed includes approximately 4,500 active access control badges, approximately 100 access control doors including perimeter gates, 28 cameras currently down and under repair, and two existing software systems: Software House CCURE 9000 (Software Security Agreement expiring February 2027) and Genetec Security Center Advantage Plan (expiring February 2027). The contractor will have access to an existing workstation for system administration but no dedicated onsite storage space currently exists for maintenance spare parts and tools, though a golf cart-type vehicle may be permitted in the Air Operations Area. Bidders were provided system identification numbers for both CCURE 9000 (System ID 9-61356) and Genetec Security Center (System ID GSC-241113-943075) and informed that trouble call records and quarterly reports are available for public inspection at Lihue Airport.
The addendum clarifies that site visits can be scheduled by contacting Jeff Dorn, District Engineer, at (808) 241-3903 or jeff.dorn@hawaii.gov, and that prospective contractors may request permission to maintain a vehicle on airport property depending on vehicle type and size. No pricing, set-aside restrictions, incumbent contractor identification, or other financial terms are addressed in this addendum, which solely serves to provide technical and operational clarifications in response to bidder inquiries regarding system specifications, licensing requirements, and facility conditions at Lihue Airport.
