- Can you provide a "summary of quantities" for all the required stripe removal and new striping needing to be place down - to include black markings?

A lineal foot quantity of striping is attached for each of the individual areas. Colors are not differentiated;

a total length of paint stripe is all that is provided.

1. Paint new 6" yellow retroreflective taxiline on west side of H333.1000LF

2. Paint new 6" yellow retroreflective taxiline 20' east of existing M1 taxiline.3500LF

3. Re-paint all striping on 'B' Ramp.13,200LF

4. Re-paint all striping on 'C' Ramp11,600LF

5. Obliterate existing taxiline on southeast side of helipad between 'D' & 'E' Ramps2000LF

6. Re-paint vehicle road edge markings from 'D' to 'B' ramp. Current stripes are double yellow and must be replaced with single white retroreflective including double dash 6" yellow 15' long with

25' wide spacing to allow aircraft to legally cross on east side.13,000LF

7. Paint new retroreflective white stop bars on vehicle road, both sides of 'B' Ramp.100LF

8. Re-paint Helopad 1 markings on Taxiway M3 including all edge markings.2000LF

9. Obliterate existing non-standard paint markings both sides of helopads and re-stripe with VBFR hold position markings.10,000LF

DESIGNATIONS

13. Paint new 6" yellow retro-reflective taxiline to/from CAPLO Fuel tanks1000LF

- Will there be any work hour restrictions? i.e. - 6 hours work windows.

No work hour restrictions are anticipated. A well defined construction schedule from the contractor will help with coordinating the movement of aircraft.

- While the stripe removal is happening, can the base provide a sweeper/pick-up broom to clean-up?

Negative. All work including cleanup is the responsibility of the contractor.

- Will the base provide stripe survey and layout for all the new markings?

Layout information will be provided to the extent is available. The amount of “new striping” is minimal.

AKFB personnel will work with the contractor to provide as much as possible. Some layout will fall on the contractor.

- Will the base provide the barricading to close off sections of the ramp(s) that are being worked on based on contractor's phasing plan?

The base will not provide barricading. The base will work will airfield operations and coordinate with users to “close” portions of the airfield to aircraft, but any additional barricading deemed necessary will be provided by the contractor.

- After reviewing the AFI's, UFC's and ETL's it appears that only 1 application of paint with type 1 reflective beads is required, can you please confirm the # of applications of paint required?

One application will be sufficient.

- Can you provide drawings and dimensions for the alpha-numeric parking designation spots and the tool-box tie down locations?

Locations are indicated in provided drawings however exact locations should not affect pricing for proposals. Parking designations will be a reflective solid yellow box 3x1 feet with black lettering. AGE

Box will be 9x50 feet solid white stripe.

- On the color legend/striping plan, the blue lines indicate 6" yellow over 10" black. Is this the only area requiring black striping (Parking Apron "C")?

Other than areas where black paint may be used to obliterate (black-out) existing striping, yes this is the only area with black “striping”.
