MEMORANDUM FOR WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

SUBJECT: FA9101-22-Q-0001, Tunnel D Portable Laser Tracker, Questions and Answers

1. The item number called out in the document FA9101-22-Q-0001: Tunnel D Portable Laser Tracker is the FARO Vantage S6 model with no Wi-Fi (long range + no Wi-Fi).

However the specifications call for our Vantage E6 model (35m Range + includes Wi- Fi).

I plan to quote the E6 model per the specifications, however I’m unclear if you need the unit with Wi-Fi, or with Wi-Fi removed. Please advise. There is no price difference between Wi-Fi and no Wi-Fi units.

Table above is updated in Combo/Synopsis onss SAM

The system needs to be able to work in non-Wi-Fi environments. A product with Wi-Fi included is technically acceptable as long as it will function with the Wi-Fi shut off at all times and does not require Wi-Fi to install the software on our computer. A system with the Wi-Fi removed is technically acceptable as long as removing the Wi-Fi does not affect the system or its operations. The specifications correctly state that we are requesting the Vantage E6 model.

2. Specification clarification: The current spec calls for Operating Temperature: -15°C to

50°C (5°F to 122°F) which is a carryover from an outdated spec on the E model. The current specification for the Vantage E6 model is 0 to 40◦C (32 to 104◦F). Would you please clarify if this updated specification is approved?

The specifications I was provided with are out of date. The updated specification is approved.

3. Specification clarification: The current spec reads The Laser Tracker accuracy specifications shall be certified to ASME B89.4.19 - 2006. FARO has changed to rating Laser Tracker accuracy based on the ISO 10360-10:2016 standard. The new ISO 10360- 10:2016 standard is a more rigorous test and is better than the old ASME standard.

Please advise if this is approved.

The specifications I was provided with are out of date. The updated specification standard is approved.
