Questions

QUESTION RESPONSE

1 Will the Government allow for a no-cost site survey prior to proposal response?

No; Obligation of received funds is driving the short suspense that prohibits a site-visit.

The provided photos, design drawings and rack elevation drawings of the current system should be sufficient to provide a quote based on current industry standards.

2 Can the Government extend the proposal response up to one (1) week following site survey?

No; Obligation of received funds is driving the short suspense.

3 Does the Government have and can the Government provide the existing AMX source code for each of the three systems?

We do not have copies of any of the Source Code other than if you can pull it off the old system.

4 Can the Government provide the functional engineering design packages (audio, video, network, power, control, and feature wall drawings) for each of the three existing systems?

All available drawings and photos have been provided for this effort.

5 Section 1.1.6. States “The new designed systems shall not take away from current capability and operations, and shall enhance or improve on what exists. The new systems shall be required to be programmed to function similar to the way it does now. The touchscreen needs to be simplified for users.” Can the Government specify precisely how they want the system simplified for users?

We are leaving that to the installing contractor to work with gov’t during install.

6 screen replacement issue. Existing description is:

Manufacture: Stewart Screen Material: LUMIFLXE 180 Model 9’ 6 1/2” X 16’ 6 1/2” SND / WM / CJX

And ask for the same as a replacement. Is this a brand name requirement?

No, it is replace in kind [not by brand], requiring rear projection screen, not a front projection screen.

7 Please clarify the image size:

In two up, each image would be 198.2 in / 2 = 99.1in.

The projectors you are asking for are WUXGA (16:10 aspect ratio) so if the image is 99.1 wide, it is 61.94in high. But the screen size is 114.5 in high. (so lots of unused white space on the screen).

The projectors provided as examples are the projectors going into bldg 1307 and are not associated with the Main Auditorium projector system.
