QUESTION SET 1: Solicitation -LUKE B011

RE: Appendix A – Pallet rack:

Q1 – Please confirm there are (8) sections of type “A” (pallet rack) in bldg. 945 – shown and named, but different color on drawing ALK906-1

A: There are no type “A” pallet racks in bldg. 945, only bldg. 296, in drawing

ALK906-1

Q2 – 3.2.3. Does not list a beam capacity – 3.2.7. shows wire deck capacity of 1100#/shelf level - do we assume the same capacity for the beams?

A: Beam capacity is 6000lbs see REV-1 App. A under shelf beams.

Q3 – In building 1390--Type A shows a 3rd level of beams (top) but no mention is made of any type of decking – Is there a 3rd level? Is Wire decking required if there is a 3rd level?

A: There is no third level so do not worry about wire decking on the third beam for type A pallet rack.

Q4 – Not seeing any mention of row spacers – this would only affect type “E” Rack – do you want row spacers? What size of spacing….6”?

A: See REV-1 App.A, 6 inch spacers will be sufficient.

RE: Appendix B – Mezzanine :

Q1 – Curious about access – Offeror is not seeing top of mezzanine access. Questioning whether a pallet gate in the handrail is required. – Please confirm whether access is or is not required.

A: A pallet gate is not needed, the only access is the mezzanine stairs.

Q2 – 3.3. – cage –Offeror is assuming cage is 4 sided? Approx. 23’ left to right, is this correct?

A: Yes, you are correct 4 sided roughly 23' left to right.

Q3 – 3.3. – cage –for the locking door which is preferred a padlock hasp? Or keyed lock?

A: A padlock hasp would be preferred.
