SUBJECT: Questions/Answers for FA8601-13-R-0042
Q1: How do I submit a proposal?
A1: Email or fax proposals to the contact information in the solicitation on FedBizOpps.
Q2: What was the posting about these accommodations back in March?
A2: That posting was a Sources Sought Synopsis. It was for market research purposes only, and no contracts will be written from the information received in response to it. Only proposals received in response to this solicitation will be considered for award.
Q3: How will this be evaluated?
A3: It will be evaluated per the paragraph describing evaluation factors located in the solicitation. A firm-fixed price for the services listed in the Performance Work Statement is required to be considered for award.
Q4: On page 1 of the Performance Work Statement it states in 1.2 Description of Services (1.2.1) that the hotel needs to be within walking distance no more than 3 city blocks of the University of Maryland Medical Center. Would you consider hotels further away?
A4: No, hotels more than 3 city blocks of the University of Maryland Medical Center will not be considered.
Q5: Can more than one offer be submitted? For example, can one contractor submit offers for more than one hotel?
A5:Yes, more than one offer can be submitted.
Q5: I know you were contemplating doing a multiple year contract with one base year and four option years and I didn’t see the request in the solicitation. I only saw one year. Did I miss the four option years or did you decide to do only one year?
A5: Only one year was posted in this solicitation. It was found to be in the best interest of the Government to have this requirement be one year and not one base year with four option years.
