The above numbered solicitation is amended as set forth in item 14. The hour and date specified for receipt of Offers is extended, is not extended. Continuation of block 14. DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT/MODIFICATION

The purpose of this amendment is to change the Performance-Based Work Statement (PWS) dated 19 June 2012, add a note to Section B, Supplies or Services and Prices/Costs, and make a change to Section J, List of Attachments, as denoted herein.

a. PWS paragraph 4.6 Transition Period is hereby changed as shown below (change occurs on page 6 of the PWS):

FROM: 4.6 TRANSITION PERIOD

To ensure a smooth transition in the change of work effort from the current contract/order, the contractor shall begin the transition period as required by Section B of the solicitation/contract.

The purpose of the transition is to:

(a) Become thoroughly familiar with work requirements and work procedures.

(b) Complete personnel requirements (workforce) including the hiring of personnel to assure satisfactory performance beginning on the order start date. Soliciting Government or incumbent contractor personnel for employment during their duty hours is prohibited, unless arrangements are made through the contracting and personnel offices at this installation.

(c) Obtain security clearances, if required.

(d) Complete training requirements and accomplish necessary training on contractor employees.

(e) Complete development of necessary work plans/procedures.

(f) Complete the development of quality control plans/procedures.

The contractor will be allowed access to the facilities to familiarize supervisors, key personnel, and staff with the requirement, reporting work scheduling, and procedures. However, such access will not interfere with the production efforts or current contract personnel. To preclude such interferences, arrangements for access to the Government facilities will be made with the cognizant Contracting Officer.

TO: 4.6 TRANSITION PERIOD

The purpose of the transition is to:
