120163 Roofing IDIQ – Minimum Requirements Page 1 of 2

Project No. UHHZ140109, Roofing IDIQ

Special Standards of Responsibility

1. Contractor shall employ a job foreman for each active delivery order who is a certified installer of a qualified manufacturer for each of the following roof systems: Standing Seam Metal Roofs, PVC

Roofs and Modified Bitumen Roofs.

Acceptable Documentation – Provide verification employment with Prime

– Provide copy of individual’s installation certifications. (One for each of the three types of roofing)

2. Manufacturer Qualifications (All Roofs) – Manufacturer must be able to provide a 20 year No-Dollar-

Limit warranty on material and labor for weather-tightness, finishes, and flashing components.

Acceptable Documentation – Provide a sample 20 year NDL warranty on each type of 3 types of roofing. (Installer’s certification must match manufacturer’s sample warranty)

3. Manufacturer Qualifications (Additional for Standing Seam Metal Roofs) – Manufacturer must also be accredited in accordance with the International Accreditation Services (IAS) Inspection Programs for the Metal Building Systems/AC472.

Acceptable Documentation – Provide a copy of metal roofing manufacturers accreditation.

4. Contractor must provide a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect registered in the State of

Georgia who derives the majority of their income from roof design work to perform and seal all required Design Analysis and drawings.

Acceptable Documentation – Letter from AE firm showing a working relationship with a copy of their professional seal.

5. Contractor must be capable of providing a Georgia licensed and certified Asbestos Abatement contractor and be capable of performing multiple projects simultaneously (minimum of 2).

Acceptable Documentation – Letter from Asbestos Abatement firm showing a working relationship with a copy of Georgia License.

6. Contractor must be capable of providing a Lead Abatement contractor on all lead abatement projects. Lead Abatement contractor shall be certified in accordance with the Lead-Based Paint

Abatement Certification Program, Georgia EPD Rules Chapter 391-3-24.

Acceptable Documentation – Letter from Lead Abatement firm showing a working relationship with a copy of Georgia EPD Certification.

7. Contractor must be capable of providing a UL certified lightning protection installer registered in the

State of Georgia for Franklin Rod Systems on all lightning protection work.

Acceptable Documentation – Letter from UL certified lightning protection installer showing a working relationship with a copy of Georgia License.

8. Contractor must be capable of providing a Georgia certified welder for any welding procedures performed onsite.

Acceptable Documentation – Letter from welding firm showing a working relationship with Georgia welding certification.

9. Contractor must be capable of providing a NICET level IV for design and NICET level III to install all sprinkler systems.

Acceptable Documentation – Letter from Fire Protection Firm showing a working relationship with a copy of their NICET certifications (level III & IV).

10. Contractor must be capable of providing a Georgia certified Master Plumber for any required plumbing.

Acceptable Documentation – Letter from Plumbing firm showing a working relationship with

Georgia Master Plumber Certification.
