Solicitation FA8224-15-R-0056 Answers to Questions
1. Q- What is the required length of the trailers?
A- 50 Feet minimum.
| 2. Q- | Aluminum Diamond plate floor- should the floor be bright finished (metal exposed) or | should it be painted? |
| A- | Aluminum diamond plating does not need to be painted. |
| 3. Q- | Aluminum Diamond plate floor - is it acceptable to install the diamond | |
| plate over standard wood flooring (in such a manner as to seal the new floor | ||
| surface from the structural flooring below), or should the diamond plate be | ||
| installed in lieu of the structural wood flooring? The factory floor will | ||
| offer heavier duty use for payload handling due to its design to support | ||
| fork lift loading. |

| 4. Q- | Should the upper area above the king pin be walled off to separate from the rear work |
| space? |
A- Walls for the upper deck are not a requirement.
| 5. Q- | Wall material is desired for the interior wall surfaces? For hose down | |
| capability we would recommend either Fiber Reinforced Plastic or light gage | ||
| metal sheet. |
A- Would prefer the plastic
| 6. Q- | Will heating and/or cooling units be required? If a future option, we | |
| can have the nose framing customized to take a Bard wall pack unit that | ||
| could be procured and installed by the government at a future date. |
A- The requirement for heating/cooling units was intentionally left our of the specs.
| 7. Q- | The solicitation document states 60 day ADC for delivery. The purchase | |
| spec document indicates that the vendor has 45 days to submit drawings | ||
| followed by 14 day government review. What is the desired delivery date for | ||
| the units? |
A- Delivery will be 180 days ARO. Solicitation will be amended. Drawings and review periods will remain as stated in Purchase Specification.
| 8. Q- | Will it be possible to split the CLIN's such that each base delivery | ||
| will constitute a billable entity? i.e., CLIN 1 for 3 units to Minot, CLIN 2 for 3 units to FE | Warren, CLIN 3 for 3 units to Malmstrom? |
A- Yes. We can structure the award that way, or include subclins on CLIN 0001 for each location.
| 9. Q- | As a Small Business set aside, would incremental payments or partial | |
| payments be allowed? |
A- Contract financing will be addressed through forthcoming amendment to solicitation.
