About this file
This statement of work outlines the technical requirements for a fiber laser cutting system to replace an existing laser cutting system at Tinker Air Force Base. The laser cutting system must have a minimum 8kW fiber light source, cut various material thicknesses with an accuracy of 0.001" for 1" thick mild steel and 0.5" thick stainless steel, and include safety features such as a Class IV safety enclosure, HEPA filters, and automatic laser shutdown in idle mode. The system software must enable visual editing of parts, offline usage, nesting, and accept 2D files. Installation, testing, and training requirements are also specified, with the contractor providing on-site hands-on training for four Air Force personnel within two weeks of installation completion. The related federal contract opportunity is a 100% small business set-aside with a firm fixed price for this laser cutting system, issued by the Air Force Sustainment Center for the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command.
