Questions and Answers:

Is there any requirement for Hydrazine response for F-16 aircraft?

A) No

While we understand that the requirement for vehicle not to be older than 10 years old by the end of the contract, is there any chance that the Government would reconsider that requirement for vehicles that are low use such as the Staircase Truck, Tugs, De-icer, and fleet vehicle?

A) No - At this time there will not be a change in the requirement.

Can the Government please define the actual de-iciing requirement? As the PWS is written, it appears that a substantial investment in a de-icing vehicle capable of reaching C-5 aircraft must be purchased while in actuality, this may not be a realistic requirement.

A) 1.1.1.7. The contractor shall provide a minimum of one (1) "Aircraft Deicer" Vehicle possessing the capability to provide aircraft deicing for all aircraft listed in APPENDIX F, Workload Estimates. This vehicle will be no more than 10 years old during the life of the contract.

Is the contractor required to apply both de-icing fluid and anti-icing fluid to the aircraft?

A) PWS has no requirements for Anti-Icing.

What is the largest airframe that the contractor would be required to de-ice/anti-ice?

A) The airframes are listed in the PWS, Appendix F - Workload Estimates.

If the contractor is required to de-ice/anti-ice only smaller airframes, would a unit without a boom to reach high places, satisfy contract requirements?

A) The airframes are listed in the PWS, Appendix F - Workload Estimates.
