Repair Aircraft Parking Apron

1. QUESTION: Is it possible to describe the requirements of what is needed, at least as a minimum, for the “Temporary Controlled Area Fence” as per Note 03 on Sheet 02 of 24? Also, will any signage be needed on this fence?

1) RESPONSE: The fence posts must be pounded at least 2 feet into the ground where possible but can be secured by rubber bases or steel plates (secured by sandbags) where the fence crosses a roadway. The temporary fence shall be sections that are securely linked (bolted together) or a continuous run of fabric the length of the fence.

2. QUESTION: There seems to be about 25 Concrete Jersey barriers on the inside of the fence that is being removed under this contract. Who is responsible for moving these barriers? If it’s the contractor, where will these be placed?

2) RESPONSE: The Government will remove the jersey barriers prior to the project.
