STATEMENT OF WORK
CDC West Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) System Replacement

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. SCOPE
This statement of work (SOW) is for a contractor to replace the VRV system at Building 439 CDC West.
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS N/A
3. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The contractor shall provide all design, labor, and materials to install infrastructure/equipment to remove old carrier VRV system, which includes one condenser and four indoor units, and replace with a new unit. The old system is currently running R407C refrigerant.
The following is a summary of work:
3.1 Install equipment:
a) Indoor and outdoor units to include remote controls and outlet grill in each room.
b) Reclaim and remove the existing system
c) Supply and install 4 ducted fan coils
d) To supply and install transformation ductwork
e) To supply and install 1 branch connection box
f) Supply and install 4 of wall mounted controllers in rooms indicated in section
4.1.3
g) Supply and install 1 driven remote condensing unit
h) Reuse all existing ductwork and diffuser grilles
i) Reuse all interconnecting pipe work in refrigeration grade copper tubing, and
j) Insulation of pipe work in Class ‘O’ insulation and all pipe bracket clips and sundries.
k) Supply and install all interconnecting cables in flexible armored cable and pvc cable, and all brackets and sundries
l) Supply and install condensate removal pumps
m) Fully commission complete system
4 INSTALLATION
The contractor shall provide all equipment and supplies necessary to support this requirement.
The Contractor shall provide a list of all components installed per this project, as well as a list of the components removed if any.
4.1 Testing and Acceptance
4.1.1 Testing
The contractor will ensure installation is operational and meets all the cooling requirements.
4.1.2 Acceptance
The expansion shall operate with minimal failure after acceptance testing and activation of service. The contractor shall provide all support necessary during this period to resolve any issues that may arise.
4.1.3 Location
The exterior unit is located in front east side of the building, the indoor units are located in rooms: Toddler 8, pre-toddler 7, toddler 6, 5
4.1.4 Unit specifications
a) 380-480 volts
b) 3 Phase
c) VRF unit(variable refrigerant flow)
d) Amps: 20 or less
e) Refrigerant: R410a or R407C
f) Cooling capacity: 28 kw of nominal cooling
g) Each fan coil unit to be 7kw nominal each
h) Dimensions(H x W x D): no larger than 1675 x 1080 x 480
i) Warranty: 3 years or more
5 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
The location of installation is on RAF Lakenheath UK. The contractor is expected to work normal business hours, 0730 to 1630, with sufficient time to allow for entrance and exit of base security points before during and after the normal work hours.
6 HOURS OF WORK
The contractor shall perform all work during normal duty hours, 0730 to 1630, Monday through Friday; excluding UK holidays.
7 POINTS OF CONTACT (POC):
Point of Contacts will be provided at time of award of the contract.
8 CUSTOMER SUPPORT:
Other than next-business-day fixes, customer support shall be available equivalent to that of standard commercial practices.
9 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
All work area shall be kept as clean as possible during working hours. Debris will not be allowed to accumulate on work site. All debris will be deposited in an authorized container supplied by the contractor.
