About this file
This document contains an amendment with technical responses to questions regarding solicitation number FA557020Q0010 for a fiber cable duct survey. The solicitation requires professional services to update a Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System with outside plant telecommunications infrastructure information for RAF Molesworth, UK. Services include collecting location data for manholes, handholes, pedestals and building entries using GPS, inspecting enclosures, tagging cables, and entering attribute and cable data into the CVC system. Progress demonstrations are required to produce reports and drawings from the CVC to verify accuracy and completeness of updated information. Space may be available on base for contractor equipment storage if needed. Three Information Transfer Nodes are included. Enclosures average eight feet deep. New field data collected during the survey must be loaded into the CVC rather than modifying existing GIS data. No known local confined space procedures exceed OSHA requirements.
