SUBJECT: FA5000-19-QA072: Weapons Rack System RFQ Questions and Answers

1. 1. The purpose of this memorandum is to document the questions and answers (Q&A) for RFQ FA5000-19-QA072, Weapons Rack System. Below are the Q&As as follows:

Q1: For the mobile storage systems, is the track to be leveled, anchored and fully grouted?

A1: Yes

Q2: As Alaska is in a seismic zone, are you requiring seismic, anti-tip track?

A1: Yes

Q3: There is a wood sub-floor in between the tracks. Do you want this covered with heavy duty rubber matting to protect the wood from wear and tear?

A3: Yes

Q4: Do you want a non-skid painted ADA steel entry ramp to the mobile storage systems?

A4: Yes

Q5: Are full height steel end panels required to enclose the carriage gear boxes?

A5: Yes

Q6: How many access aisles are required in each mobile storage system?

A6: Yes

Weapon Racks:

Q7: Does the unit want weapon rack doors that allow them to open and close the mobile aisles without having to close the doors of the weapon racks?

A7: Yes

Q8: Does the unit want the weapons stored with the buttstock down and the barrel up with no staggering, inverting or front to back storage of rifles?

A8: Yes

Q9: Do the weapon racks need to be fully welded with locking doors for each cabinet, meeting

DOD 5100.76-M?

A9: Yes

Q10: Does the unit want a fully slotted back panel for a fully modular system? This enables individually adjustable barrel saddles to accommodate different weapons systems side by side inside the racks.

A10: Yes

Q11: Are the pistols to be stored on pistol pegs with the M4s?

A11: Yes

Q12: Are the M4s stored with optics attached?

A 12: Yes

Q 13: How many adjustable storage shelves are required in total the weapon rack interiors?

A13: 32 total full width adjustable shelves in the weapon racks.

Q14: Are any of the mobile carriages configured with storage shelving? If yes how many carriages and how many shelf levels per section?

A 14: 2 moveable shelving carriages w/6 shelf levels per section
