Questions and Responses
1. Will CES provide barriers, cones, etc. to the contractor to mark off work areas?
No, contractor will need to provide all barriers, cones, etc.
2. In regards to the traffic control plan, will this be developed entirely by the contractor or does
CES have a plan for the traffic flow for this project?
Contractor will develop traffic control plan and submit to us for approval.
3. How many phases will the project be completed in to minimize traffic concerns?
Contractor will propose phasing plan for our approval. The main gate cannot be fully closed for an extended time, so phasing will need to allow for use of main gate.
4. Will the Grandview gate be opened to non‐contractors during construction?
Yes, it is possible to open Grandview gate to general base personnel during construction.
5. Will the asphalt mix specified in Attachment 7 be used for the entire project?
Yes, same asphalt mix for entire project.
6. What is the depth of the inductive loop described in Attachment 5?
The true depth is unknown, but should not be affected by a one inch mill. This response does not guarantee that milling will not damage the equipment.
