About this file
This is a Contractor Questions and Answers document for Solicitation FA480326Q0007, a pyrotechnics airshow performance for 2026 issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FA).
The document addresses a contractor's clarification question regarding the performance requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor sought clarification on the interpretation of pyrotechnic performance quantities, specifically whether "sixteen double bombs (8 per day)" meant 128 double bombs per day or 8 total per day, and whether "Four 16 hit hot strafes (2 per day)" indicated multiple daily repetitions. The government's response clarified that the SOW numbers represent totals for the specified time period: 16 double bombs total for the weekend with 8 per day total, 2 total hot strafes per day, and 8 total regular strafes per day. This response establishes that the SOW quantities are cumulative totals rather than amounts to be multiplied by performance frequency.

Contractor Questions and Government Responses
1. It states that "Four 16 hit hot strafes (2 per day)" I noticed on line 3 it states "Sixteen 16 hit regular strafes." Did this SOW mean that it is desired for number 4 to have a run of sixteen 16 hit hot strafes that will be repeated twice daily? And is the SOW simply stating the spelling and numerical of both lines 3 and 4? Even for line 1, it says "sixteen double bombs
(8 per day) so does that mean the same performance, comprised on sixteen double bombs, eight time a day? So essentially 128 double bombs a day? Or is just 8 eight double bombs a day total.
Government Response: That would mean 16 double bombs total for the weekend, 8 of them per day total. The numbers in the SOW are total of each strafe too, as in 2 total hot strafes and 8 total regular strafes per day.
