The purpose of this amendment is to Extend the quote due date, answer question asked by vendors, and remove the “Option A” from the attachments. Please see revised attachment 2 and Q&A below.

Key Information Solicitation Number FA480322QB051 Questions Cutoff Date 17 Mar 22 Quote Due Date 29 Mar 22 2:00 PM EST Set-Aside 100% Small Business

Q1: Regarding option A; Industry standard for acrylics, mounted with 1” standoffs, is two choices of backing styles. Either DiBond backing for a sturdy, substantial display or white paper backing. The solicitation mentioned the print on vinyl and I’ve spoken with multiple people in the industry between yesterday and today and no one has heard of the print being on vinyl. I’d like clarification on what you would prefer for the backing.

Gov Response: The end user has determined that option A is not a viable long term solution.

Only option B quotes will be accepted.

Q2: When I order acrylics from my lab, they come with 1” stainless post. Would this be acceptable for the standoff mounting?

Gov Response: There are currently photos installed (not part of this requirement) that have standoffs “Gyford Systems Color: Graphite Anodize”. It is imperative that the standoffs installed with these pictures match what is currently installed in the building. Standoffs must resemble Gyford Systems Color: Graphite Anodize.

Q3: Majority of these sizes are standard and common sizes but a few are abnormal, example:

48x22.75, 48x35.75, 21x48, etc. Are you opposed to keeping these in a more common/standard size with minimal cropping?

Gov Response: Minimal cropping is acceptable, not to exceed 2” in any direction.

Q4: For the largest sizes; 60x48, 72x48, 72x60 and 84x48, I have found a company which can print these sizes, however, they print the image directly onto the acrylic via flatbed scanner. I can do all the prints through this company but they are not produced like Option A or Option B. The other option is to do what is called an "acrylic cluster” where the image is divided into multiple images to create the one. (Example photos are included).

Gov Response: We do not want to cluster the images.

Q5: In the Request for Quotation document under section 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items (JUNE 2020) – Addendum, #6 states the quote needs to be valid through 30 September 2022. With prices always fluctuating, it may be difficult to guarantee for six months.

Is there any possibility this can be adjusted accordingly (either up or down) once the project is awarded?

Gov Response: As stated in the RFQ, funds are not currently available for this acquisition.

Funds may not be available until the end of the fiscal year (September). As such, quotes will need to be valid until then so award can be made promptly.
