CONSTRUCT ASPHALT PARKING AT B1957:

• Construct auxiliary asphalt parking lot connecting to the main road (Losano Rd.)

at B1957 with (28) 19-ft x 9-ft parking stalls in identified location (see Figure 1 below) parking stalls should be marked 90° to the drive isle. The parking lot should resemble the parking lot to the north closest to B1957;

• Total paved parking lot area is to be approximately 162-ft long x 63-ft wide with an approximate 25-ft connector to the main road;

• Clear all trees and remove stumps, grub all vegetation, and strip all topsoil (approximately 6-in to 8-in) from identified area for new parking lot extending a minimum of 5’ outside of the proposed paved area;

• A proofroll of the proposed parking lot and shoulders should be witnessed and accepted by the government prior to fill being placed;

• Place suitable sub-base, extending 1 feet outside of the proposed paved surface;

• Place a minimum of 6-in of suitable base (aggregate) on compacted sub-base in the footprint of the proposed parking lot;

• Place a minimum of 3 inches of type C asphalt surface course over parking lot footprint, do not exceed the SCDOT recommend single lift thickness;

• Place approximately 500 linear ft. concrete curb/gutter along parking lot perimeter with adequate flumes for drainage into the swells;

• Grade the sub-base, base, and asphalt in the proposed parking lot and connection to road for positive drainage to each flume or nearest ditch;

• Provide adequate drainage for a 100 year storm 2 year storm, 24 hour

(precipitation only) with swells around the perimeter of the parking lot. The main parking lot should be set back a minimum of 20’ from each road, with the drainage swells placed between the parking lot and road.

• Provide a 6-ft sidewalk on each side of Cannine Rd. parallel with the sidewalk adjacent to B 1957 connecting the two parking lots;

• Stripe (28) 19-ft x 9-ft parking stalls in newly constructed lot and 1 cross walks across the road at the connecting sidewalks.

• Install (4) 30-ft overhead lighting posts in each corner of parking lot, wiring should be pulled from the mechanical electrical room in 1957, reference the attached as-built drawings for B1957 and the site utility plan. Boring under the Canine Rd. and the drive entrances. The government expects to remove 2 squares of concrete near the electrical room to stub into the side of the wall.

• Provide necessary materials to include; light poles, concrete base, conduit, and wiring. Provide capped stub up at the last pole to allow for expansion.

• All new fixtures shall be Lumark NFFLD Night Falcon (delivered lumens 15,000) or approved equal. Fixture shall come with a minimum 5-year warranty, or approved equal.

• All poles shall be 4-in square non-tapered having in-line fuse holders in the pedestal base. No overhead conductors will be utilized for lighting.

• Lighting shall provide an average intensity of at least 0.2 foot-candles for area lights, measured vertically, 6 inches above the ground, throughout the area.
