Text version
1. Are the Underground conduit required to be encased in concrete?
a. Refer to Detail 1 on Sheet E3.0. The underground electrical from the transformer to the uni-strut stand is not required to be concrete-encased.
2. Detail 5/E2.0 calls for a 2’ wide by 5” deep saw cut channel. Please confirm that the detail should read 2” wide by 5” deep. That would make using a non-shrink grout sensible.
a. There is a typo on the drawings. The trench in the concrete shall be 2-inches, not 2-feet.
3. Can a dustless abrasive blast system be used rather than a wet stripping method for the lead containing paint?
a. The government is unable to get a definitive answer from the Environmental Engineer, therefore, , the wet stripping method specified shall be used.
