Contracting Activity: 90th Contracting Squadron, F.E. Warren AFB, WY Solicitation No.: FA4613-09-R-0026 Project Title: Refuse Collection and Disposal Services Date: 30 December 2009 Subject: Questions and Answers #1 The following questions were submitted to the 90th Contracting Squadron.
1. Question: When is Military Family Housing scheduled to be fully turned over to privitization?
Answer: No date has been decided.
2. Question: Military Family Housing compost is scheduled May through November, is contractor required to dispose of Christmas trees in December and January?
Answer: No, it is not the contractor’s responsibility. The occupant must dispose of “live” trees.
3. Question: Can the current contractor’s Military Family Housing residential containers be used?
Answer: The current contractor supplied the totes. The contractor who receives the award will have to contact current contractor about sale of totes. (Brown color to match base preference, 96 gal). See Statement of Work
4. Question: Will the government allow the use of a front load truck with a residential container that is outfitted for wind to be used instead of the rear or side load? This allows a duplication of equipment and reduced overall expenses.
Answer: No, the primary reason for the rear load is due to the high winds in this area. The load collection was shortened in distance, thereby minimizing the chance of loose flying debris. (Contractor responsible for collecting loose refuse during servicing). See Statement of Work.
