Questions to the Government Part 2 Solicitation FA461020Q0001 Solid Waste Collection Vandenberg AFB, CA

Q: item 0001 Only Non personal services total is it all costs for all services for 4.5 years or something else the unit count is 1

A: CLIN X0001 is an informational CLIN ONLY and should not be priced.

Q: item 0015 tipping fees is asked for what services roll off or all services, it’s listed as a monthly unit

A: CLIN X015

Monthly Tipping Fees (charged per ton at either a state-permitted landfill or a certified recycling vendor) can come from the following activities:

1) MSW & Food Waste collections (CLIN 0002)

2) Recycling collections (CLIN 0003)

3) Roll Off Rentals (CLIN 0011)

Some background: Our current contract writing system wouldn’t allow the use of “LS” short ton units without converting this unit into pounds (which the contractors would also have to do each time they invoiced us). Instead, we chose to price this CLIN using a “monthly” unit. Ideally, we would not like to exceed $20K per month. Historically, we have never been charged more than $17K in any month for combined tipping fees.

Q: item 0020 roll off rental overweight is asked for by 19 each is that by occurrence or by tons that container is over weight

A: CLIN X0020

Overweight Roll Off rentals is for up to 19 separate occurrences in a year period where the roll off is overfilled by the Government.
