PADMOUNT TRANSFORMER SPECIFICATIONS
(Typical)
In Accordance With UFGS 33 70 02-00.10 and UFC 3-550-01
• All stainless steel (Alloy 316) construction (includes tank, cabinet, base, radiators, fasteners, hinges, etc.)
• “Pentahead” Cabinet Locking Mechanism/Device
• Dead Front Construction (HV - 200A load break elbows with shield adapters)
• Externally clamped LV bushings with threaded copper stud for full load current below 2,100 amperes - NEMA spades shall be provided per ANSI hole requirements
• Radial Feed
• KVA: As Required
• Primary Voltage: 12kV Delta
• Secondary Voltage: As Required
• 3- Phase Transformer
• Frequency: 60Hz
• Windings: Copper
• Mineral Oil-Filled (Non-PCB): Type FR-3 Fluid
• Standard Impedance
• Mild steel high-voltage/low-voltage compartment barriers
• Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) surge arresters
• Cooling Fins
• Proper grounding provisions
• Dial type gauges for oil temperature, liquid level, and pressure/vacuum
• Bay-O-Net Fuses & Current-Limiting Fuses: Properly-sized - Additionally, the transformer will include 3 spare fuses
• Two-Position “ON/OFF” Load Break Primary Switch
• 5-Position Tap Changer: (-5%, -2½%. 0, +2½%, +5%)
• Automatic pressure relief device mounted in the terminal compartment
• Oil drain valve with sampling device, and an oil fill/oil level plug
• Nameplate and NEMA Safety Labels: Include a “UL Listed” symbol on ratings label and nameplate
• Compliant with 2016 DOE Efficiency Standard
• Four (4) lifting lugs
• Entire exterior of the pad-mount transformer and terminal compartments shall be painted with a munsell green, outdoor finish
• Guaranteed to have an average coil winding temperature of 65°C rise over an average ambient air temperature of 30°C when operated at rated voltage and load conditions

Series of transformer tests (includes DGA) used to verify conformance to performance requirements as outlined in the latest revisions of ANSI C57.12.00 and ANSI C57.12.90. A report outlining successful test results must be completed and submitted to the Contracting Officer prior to final equipment acceptance
