Request for Information
1. Has surge protection been installed on the electrical service entrance and on all conductive communications and data feeds for the building? If not, please provide a count and size for these service entrances.
Answer: I do not know if there are surge protection at the service entry points but we do know that all commercial power enters into the generator room with circuit breaker protection, All physical copper cable that enters the building is tied to the Com Frame in Rm 108 and is tied to ground, with each wire having surge protection (Wing springs or gas tube protection).
2. Please provide the number of conductive service entry points (i.e. CCTV, Electrical Service, Telephone, Data, Fiber etc.) existing at the bldg. structure.
Answer: There are two Com Service Entry points and they can be found one on the north side (for all north com copper cables including fiber) and one on the south side (for all south com copper cables and fiber) going into the cable vault. One Electrical Service Point entering into the Generator room can be found on the north-west side of the building.
3. Please confirm if the existing conductive service entry points currently have Surge Protective Devices (SPD) installed compliant to UL1449 4th Edition.
Answer: No, they don’t.
4. Please confirm that Bldg. 475 does not store any explosives.
Answer: Confirmed.
5. Are there as-builts available for this project?
Answer: Yes, see FBO attachment
6. Is there a roof drawing (reflective ceiling plan) for this facility?
Answer: Yes, roof plan drawings exist for the facility. Reflective ceiling plan drawings exist for parts of the facility. These drawings are on the disc referred to in answer to question #5.
7. Is the propane tank staying onsite?
Answer: Yes, this is used to run the generators for the facility
8. Is protection needed from the contractor for the propane tank?
Answer: Yes.
9. Is there a current grounding system for the building?
Answer: Yes.

10. How is the building being grounded?
Answer: There are multiple ground points located throughout the building, but as far as I know they are all connected to the external ground on the east side of B475.
11. What is the type/function of the tower?
Answer: Communications tower
