FA4608-15-Q-S098, Questions and Answers #1 24 August 2015
1. How many devices (PIR, BMS) are required for the NOD room?
Answer: (1) PIR, (2) BMS, (1) IDS keypad
2. Will the NOD Room require an Access Control System to control entry/exit?
Answer: Yes, automated entry control system (AECS) will be installed. Install Level II AECS with have (4-digit and card swipe) to open that complies with DoDM 5200.01-V3, Appendix to Enclosure 3, Para 3.a.(2).
3. For the Commander's suite what is preferred, wireless or wired Duress?
Answer: Wireless is the current setup, wireless is preferred.
4. Will the Duress in the Commander's suite connect to the NOD room's V5 or will it need its own V5?
Answer: Yes, the first floor wireless duress can be designed to connect to NOD room’s V5 located on second floor.
5. If the Duress is using the NOD room's V5 what is the distance between the rooms?
Answer: 2 SFS/S5P does not have “to scale” print for building 6803 to determine distance. Estimate 75 feet from 1st floor duress to 2nd floor NOD room.
