The contractor shall provide eight L3Harris AN/PRC-163 Multi-channel Handheld Radios with associated support equipment, including sixteen total batteries (eight primary and eight backup) and eight charging stations, ports, and/or cords. The radios are versatile, secure communication devices that leverage crossbanding to enable simultaneous data and voice transmission across SATCOM, line-of-sight, and Mobile Ad-hoc Networking (MANET) modes, intended to ensure aircrew, ground crew, and support agencies can communicate with aircraft in flight.

The AN/PRC-163 radios must meet detailed technical specifications including frequency ranges covering VHF low (30-88 MHz), VHF high (118-174 MHz), UHF (225-512 MHz), and SATCOM bands; support 99 standard net presets with unlimited capability via multiple mission files; include built-in SAASM L1/L2 or Commercial L1 GPS; operate across a temperature range of -22°F to 131°F; and feature Denali-based Type 1 Suite A/B encryption with Trust Anchor capability. Additional specifications detail waveforms, voice and data modes, power output (250 mW to 5 W, 10 W SATCOM modes), data interfaces (USB 2.0, IP over USB, Ethernet), and programming via USB 2.0 with DS-101 key fill. All shipping and handling charges must be included in pricing. Delivery is required 60 days after receipt of order to Travis Air Force Base, 401 Burgan Boulevard Bldg P-4, RM 178, Travis AFB, 94535.
