About this file
This document provides clarification on the electrical and communication equipment requirements for a federal furniture contract solicitation from the Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command. The solicitation is for replacing 135 existing workstations with 177 new workstations at various expansion areas located on each floor of a building. Each new workstation will require between 6 to 7 duplex receptacles and the space has 110 electrical circuits available to support the load. Verbal confirmation has indicated the current power is sufficient but official survey results are still pending. The document seeks clarification on whether one circuit per workstation would be adequate and if the electric panels have the capacity for the additional circuits and load. All power and network connections for the workstations will be run from the raised floor space below the expansion areas. Vendors will not be responsible for any network installation work.
