Round #2, Responses to Questions for SOL. FA301621U0023

The following is a list of questions that were asked from the contractors in regards to the RFQ posted on

Beta Sam.

1. Q: Would the government be able to provide the name of the vendor providing the current service for the 400x20 connection?

A: Unknown, contact Incumbent Contractor for more information.

2. Q: Could the government provide the name of the Incumbent, contract number and contract value?

A: Name of Incumbent: R & D Industries, INC d.b.a. Thinix, Contact info: 812 10th Street, Milford, IA 51351. PH: (712) 338‐2999

Contract Number: FA301616P0029

Total Value of Contract: $37,340.00

3. Q: Does the government own the any of the current equipment to include Cisco gateway, managed switch and 4 access points?

A: No

4. Q: Can the government confirm if the 39 hardwire connections are already installed and functional?

A: Yes

5. Q: Can the government please confirm how many PPQ’s are required?

A: At a minimum 1 (one).

6. Q: We are not doing anything with 39 data drops described in SOW because they are existing and in good working condition, correct?

A: Yes. Some cabling is CAT 5, and the SOW will be amended to require any existing CAT 5 be replaced with CAT 6.

7. Q: Does the library currently have CATV service and if so who is the provider?

A: Yes, the current system is COAX provided by Thinix.

8. Q: Do we need to replace network switch these 39 drops are connected to?

A: Yes
