Questions for 360 Resiliency Training Solicitation Questions
Instructions: Please review and address all the questions below. Answers shall be clearly marked as an “answer”. Please return this document to Contracting NLT 1200 hrs on 1 May 2018. If you have any questions on these procedures, please contact the contract specialist.
1. What are the correct phone numbers on the RFQ? Note: Page 3 lists Cameron A. White at the phone number of 210-652-8885 which is the home phone number of the Commander, Joel Carrey or Kerry. The phone number listed on page three is: 210-652-8549 for Ronald E. Hunter.
This phone number is the number of a Ms. Mary Vasquez. I have left messages at each of these phone numbers (as they are listed on the RFQ) and I wanted some background information.
• This is a phone system error as the previous service members at these numbers were not deleted. The best means for communication is via email.
2. How many people will be attending this conference? I am assuming that this conference is the one being held in early May in Pensacola, Florida. I need this information because it impacts the instruments which will be provided and feedback I will give during the training (if selected).
• We have put this information in the SOW with approximately 35 attendees per class/per day and it is to be held in JBSA, TX
3. What are the dates of the conference?
• Undetermined until contract is finalized
4. Is this a project that continues from past work with similar objectives?
• No
5. If there was an incumbent will they be eligible to propose again?
• There are no incumbents for this requirement.
6. Is there a particular set of problems assume resolved with this training?
• Just need attendees taught resiliency outlining objectives from SOW
7. How long do you anticipate this training will take?
• That is up to the contractor to determine the length of time to complete the training objectives based upon the SOW
8. Any plans for follow-up coaching, check-ins, measurement of improvements?
• Not at this point
9. Have you a pre-set budget for this project, can you release that information?
• We do have a budget and will determine specified amount once contractor submits cost
10. Is there a firm date(s) for this training to occur, can you provide those?
• Dates will be determined after award
11. Will the Spouse programs be separate, and specific to spouses' concerns, or part of the full training?
• We would like a segment of the training to include spouses as part of the support from those being training. No specific concerns
12. Have you determined the number of hours for the training or is that up to our team, we are fully experienced and capable either way.
• That should also be presented by contractor since they know what hours are required in order to meet the objectives from the SOW
13. Is there an advantage to provide a primarily Texas-Based team, several very nearby?
• We don’t see where this is or is not an advantage. The contractor will need to provide training here within JBSA, TX so is up to them to determine if they have resources locally or will need to travel. Base entrance passes will need to be obtained by contractor to access bases.
14. Any consideration to train parent/participants on some Stress Release-Peak Performance methods to have then train their children that is so this is truly a wholelistic approach.
• This is not a requirement submitted in the SOW
15. We have top recognized authors for Resiliency, our plan is to include the books/workbooks as guides, is this a consideration within the scope of this project?
• Yes, within the confines outlined within the statement of work
16. You named several methods to include, are you open to proven by the VA effective, methods for some of the areas named?
• Yes
17. Can we obtain any demographic details for the participants, averages, please?
• Basic demographics are going to be AD military leaders and their spouses assigned to various branches of the Armed Forces here in JBSA. Ages will vary from mid 30’s to late 40’s. Both female and male attendees are expected to participate.
18. Is this curriculum/course currently in place?
• Not for the 502 ABW/JBSA
• If so, is the current curriculum satisfactory? N/A
• Can you share the current curriculum/courses in place? N/A
• If not, what, if any government personnel will be available as consultants/instructors to the course development and Implementation N/A
19. Will JBSA provide a room or rooms for the Course?
• Yes but contractor will need to supply equipment for slide presentations, copies of handouts, etc. as stated within the SOW.
20. What is the expected timeline for course preparation and course dates? Are these flexible, and if so what is the allowable timeframe?
• This will be determined once the contractor is selected and available dates are negotiated between contractor and the 502 ABW
21. Will JBSA develop and send the invitations to the military leaders plus spouses?
• Yes
22. Will JBSA provide any exercise tools needed for the physical training sessions, such as yoga mats, etc?
