Question and Answer Sheet Mulcher Head Teeth

RFQ FA282321Q4029

Question Answer

1. Do you prefer several options to choose from on the bid? For example, we can provide one type of tooth (let’s call that COA 1) or a recommended mixture of Teeth (let’s call that COA 2)? With the mix of sand and palmetto I’d recommend a twin mull on the ends with 4-point (for outside protection) and twin chisel teeth in the center (for max production).

Any offer that fulfills the requirement as solicited will be technically acceptable.

2. Will you require a technician to install the teeth? No

3. Do you project any other Heavy Equipment requirements such as Equipment, Parts, Hoses or Service(s) in the near future?

No

4. Do you happen to have a parts list for the requested items? If you don’t have the part numbers, can you get me the serial number of this unit?

The machine is not at my current location, it is a CMI Track Mounted Mulching Machine

5. The RFQ has amounts of 5 and 300 yet the Salient Characteristics calls for 1 left, 1 right side scraper for at total of 58 teeth.

There are 58 teeth on the drum, 2 outside a 56 in the field (58 teeth each set, need a total of 5 sets)

6. What is the correct and accurate number of teeth, nuts and bolts?

280 infield teeth and 5 each left/right scrapers for a grand total of 290 teeth

7. I have a price for a “Kit” of nuts, washer and bolts that I can offer for almost half the amount that I can for individual items – should I simply reply with “Kit” instead of listing the individual items?

That’s fine as long as they met the standard for the CMI cutter head they will be used on.
