About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a request for quotation from the Department of the Air Force Space Command for outside plant fiber optic installation at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado. The solicitation seeks a contractor to install fiber optic cable from Building 626 to Building 1038 using directional boring techniques. Acceptable part numbers and specifications are provided for fiber optic cable, maxcell material, and conduit. The contractor would be responsible for issue resolution during the construction period but not ongoing maintenance. Performance and payment bonds as well as a bid bond guarantee would be required to be submitted with responses. Spacers, warning tape, and concrete duct banks would be necessary elements of the installation. Only one conduit of a parallel run would require maxcell installation.
