MEMORANDUM FOR POTENIAL CONTRACTORS

FROM: 21 CONS/PKAB

SUBJECT: Amendment 2, FA2517-18-Q-5050, Elevator Repair Bldg. 1470

1. This is Amendment 2 to the subject line project in order to: change the proposal due date from 20 August 2018 at 9:00 A.M. Mountain Time to 21 August 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Mountain Time; to include in the requirement for the contractor to provide schematics and wiring diagrams for any changes made under this contract; and to provide answers to the following industry questions:

a. Question 1: Is the new elevator contractor to provide new fixtures and wiring?

Answer: No, except for those required for the repair work as set out in the Statement of Work.

b. Question 2: What code year does the elevator need to be modernized to?

Answer: This should be a repair, not a modernization. The elevators need to comply with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) A17.1-2013.

c. Question 3: Is the elevator contractor to complete any building related work to bring the elevator up to code?

Answer: No.

d. Question 4: Are we to do any work to the door operator, clutch, door tracks or rollers?

e. Question 5: Are there any cab upgrades that are to be done?

f. Question 6: Are you required to comply with the conveyance regulations enforced by the Colorado Division of Oil and Public safety?

Answer: All work as part of this repair is required to comply with specific requirements of the current ASME A17.1 Code edition. See ASME A17.1 for requirements.

g. Question 7: What agency regularly inspects your elevators?

Answer: None, the elevator is not required to be inspected by an agency.
