2. Project title:
Roller System
3. Information Requested: (Include Specification Section and/or Drawing Number and Page if inquiring about a discrepancy)
Can you tell me the current roller centers? (spacing) It looks like they may be on 6" centers.
What is the axle hex size? 7/16", 11/16"
It appears that in lieu of the lift up gates you want fixed sections with a gap for the door. How thick is the door?
You ask for side guides but it appears that the loads often overhang the conveyor. What do you have in mind?
End stops. Can they be fixed on the inside of the building? Where the load enters or exits the truck do you want end stops as well?

Response:
-Rollers are on 6’’ centers
-Axle hex size is 11/16’’
-The sweep at the bottom of the door is 4’’
-Guides need to be attached to one side of frame sticking out approx. 6’’.
Guide needs to be a heavier gauge steel and connected in a manner that can withstand the weight of a 5000# pallet bumping into it. I would rather see the brackets attached with bolts as opposed to being welded on. Guides should be painted safety yellow as well.
-We will require two end stops. Both need to be located inside the building with the stop closest to the concrete wall being a fixed stop.
The stop at the other end closest to the door needs to be a mechanical stop that can be locked in the open and the closed position. The stop should be located approx. 1’ from the door.
This information is a clarification of the solicitation/contract and does not change the contract terms or conditions.
This information is a proposed change to the solicitation/contract. An amendment will be issued.
