About this file

This is a Technical Specifications document (Exhibit A-1) for the procurement of 1.5 Ton Utility Trucks by what appears to be a metropolitan transit agency, identified as Metro, under IFB No. DR132292(3), Specification No. MA-24-08, dated April 7, 2026. The procurement specifies the supply of utility trucks meeting precise technical requirements, including approved models such as Ford F-450 XL, GMC 4500HD, Chevy 4500HD, or an approved equal. The specification document does not identify item quantities, response dates, due dates, site visits, bidder meetings, or award dates within its scope.

The specification establishes detailed technical requirements for vehicle features, accessories, and components, including a 9-foot utility body with white exterior and specific interior configurations, a minimum 6.6-liter V-8 gasoline engine with automatic transmission, and California emissions compliance. Accessories required include an AM/FM radio with Bluetooth, external backup camera system, Class 5 towing package, 2,000-watt inverter, and 360-degree amber LED beacon light. Warranty requirements mandate a minimum three-year or 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, with all warranty service required to be performed at local dealerships within a 60-mile radius of Los Angeles. Bidders must provide one complete operator manual, one CD version each of maintenance and electrical schematics, and a minimum three-year subscription to online professional diagnostics. The specification allows for alternative models and approved equals with proper justification for deviations.
