It is the policy of the State of Texas and Texas A&M University-Kingsville to encourage the use of Veteran Heroes United in Business (VetHUB) certified businesses in prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchasing transactions. The VetHUB Program is intended to increase contracting and subcontracting opportunities for eligible service-disabled veteran-owned businesses.

Texas A&M University-Kingsville has determined that subcontracting opportunities are probable under this Request for Proposal; therefore, a VetHUB Subcontracting Plan is required. Respondents must submit a complete VetHUB Subcontracting Plan with their proposal by the proposal due date and time specified in this RFP.

Failure to submit a required VetHUB Subcontracting Plan with the proposal will result in the proposal being considered nonresponsive. Texas A&M University-Kingsville may reject a VetHUB Subcontracting Plan that is incomplete or that does not demonstrate the required good faith effort in accordance with applicable State of Texas requirements.

For information regarding VetHUB Subcontracting Plan requirements, please contact Texas A&M University- Kingsville Procurement Services at procurement@tamuk.edu.

Respondents shall use the current State of Texas VetHUB Subcontracting Plan and applicable supplementary forms.

Current VetHUB forms and resources are available through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
