About this file

This is Amendment No. 1 to Bid IW246650 issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Contracts and Procurement Department for the procurement and installation of an HVAC system at the Allred Unit. The amendment addresses six clarification questions submitted by potential bidders regarding equipment specifications and installation requirements. Key responses include confirmation that new equipment may utilize rectangular openings with transitions to connect to circular openings, curb adapters are permissible, a 10-year warranty is required for the unit, all existing VAV (Variable Air Volume) boxes are operational and connected to digital thermostats requiring no replacement or troubleshooting, no existing 120V circuit is available for iWave cleaners as the existing unit contains step-down transformers with i-wave capability, and a site walk sign-in sheet was provided. The bid opening date and time was scheduled for June 25, 2026 at 3:00 PM, with Teria Godwin-Pierce identified as the purchaser/contract specialist.

Bidders were required to acknowledge receipt of this amendment either on the face of their bid submission or by returning one copy of the amendment notice; failure to acknowledge receipt could result in the bid not receiving consideration. The amendment does not contain information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractors, contract values, contract term duration, or other financial provisions, as these details are contained in the primary solicitation documents and scope of work not included in this amendment.
