II. Project Overview:

Through this Request for Quotes (RFQ), WSB seeks a qualified consultant with experience working with national or regional nonprofits of similar size and scope to facilitate a comprehensive strategic planning process and develop a strategic plan. The selected consultant will collaborate closely with WSB executive leadership and the Board of Directors to ensure the plan aligns with our mission, values, and long-term goals.

III. Scope of Work:

WSB will conduct a facilitated strategic planning workshop, which involves gathering, sorting, and prioritizing the best ideas of WSB's policy leaders and executive managers, focused on the organization's core purposes and the most important attributes of success.

We seek to create a strategic plan that leverages the building blocks we've already put in place to guide, clarify, and harmonize the work and focus of WSB over the next two years. The plan's goals should inspire WSB staff, contractors, and stakeholders, as we all provide a roadmap of activities that can be implemented to achieve those goals. We want the plan to be short enough to make it usable by staff, yet long enough to include narratives that inspire passion around our organizational direction. We think that a final plan of 5-10 pages maximum will achieve those two goals. WSB will produce a 1-page infographic of the final plan for external posting, distribution, and easy consumption. Ultimately, think of the Plan as more of a compass than a turn-by-turn GPS. The Plan must be flexible enough to help WSB navigate any political and/or market changes that might occur during the Plan while still providing an inspiring and strategic throughline that will be true irrespective of the winds of change.

WSB's strategic planning workshop will be held in person on November 20, beginning at 9:00 am and ending at noon, with an opportunity for a working lunch to wrap up. The audience of 50 attendees will be made up of the Board of Directors and executive staff.

The facilitator is responsible for directing the agenda, announcing the presenters/speakers, and serving as the moderator for break-out/table sessions. The facilitator will coordinate with the WSB CEO and executive staff prior to the event, so both parties are clear on the optimal delivery and message to the audience to ensure desired outcomes.

The outcome of the workshop shall include:

• Validation and re-confirmation of the existing statements of WBS vision, mission, and core values.

• Examination of the current operational environment and the identification of important external forces and trends that influence and impact WSB's ability to meet community and stakeholder expectations.

• Assessment of WSBs strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges.
