About this file

This is Amendment No. 2 to bid IW206131(A) issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Contracts and Procurement Department for the Polunsky Unit. The amendment provides clarification regarding technical specifications for Southern Folger 10120ER Solenoid Operated Electro-Mechanical Deadlatch locks, specifically addressing questions about keying requirements. The bid opening date is set for February 21, 2025 at 3:00 PM. The amendment clarifies that the locks need to be keyed on both sides, rather than just the hinge side or stop side.

The amendment specifically addresses two technical clarifications: first, that the locks (part number 10120ER-1-RH) must be keyed on both sides, and second, that no cylinder is required as part of the bid, despite the Southern Folger spec sheet indicating "lock is sold less cylinder." Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this amendment either on the face of their bid or by returning one copy of the notice, or their bid may not be given consideration. The document includes TDCJ's mission statement and contact information at their Huntsville, Texas location.
