About this file

This document contains a request for information from vendors for an Extreme Long Range-Sniper Rifle system to replace legacy anti-materiel and anti-personnel rifles for the United States Special Operations Command. Interested vendors must submit a white paper response template by January 23, 2024 providing details on their proposed system, including the caliber, size, weight, action, barrel, sound suppressor, and a system service life able to achieve precision standards at supersonic and subsonic velocities. The performance requirements outline weapon employment zone conditions including wind, temperature, pressure, humidity, muzzle velocity, range, inclination, and heading variations the system must function under. Responses will provide USSOCOM with market research on state-of-the-art sniper systems to inform their future solicitation to replace older rifles such as the M107 and MK15 with a more advanced extreme long range capability out to 2,500 meters.
