RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS REGARDING RFQ EEC45016Q0001

FOR

NATION-WIDE COURT REPORTING SERVICES

SCHEDULE OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES: The quotation package shall include the following line items in a written quotation: CLIN 0001: Attendance of Court Reporter (Quantity: 600 hours) Unit Price $____ per hour,Total for CLIN 0001 $_____; CLIN 0002: Transcription of Deposition and Copies of Transcripts - Nation-wide (Quantity: 13,000 pages) Unit Price $____ per page, Total for CLIN 0002 $_____; CLIN 0003: Transcription of Deposition and Copies of Transcripts - State of Illinois (Quantity: 4,000 pages) Unit Price $____ per page, Total for CLIN 0003 $_____; and CLIN 0004: Deposition Transcripts and Exhibits (Quantity: 1 Lot) Unit Price $____, Total for CLIN 0004 $_____. Total Price for CLINs 0001 through 0004: $_____.

Question No. 1: Rates for these services can vary significantly by geographic area. Only Illinois is singled out for separate rates. Will you consider submissions that provide separate rates by other geographic areas?

Response: Yes, but the “other geographic areas” are limited to one of the 34 states listed on the Solicitation of the vendor’s choosing.

Question No. 2: Explain “(Quantity: 1 lot)” in CLIN 0004, and define the geographic area for “CLIN 0004.”

Response: Lot means large amount.

Question No. 3: Expedited:

a. What is considered expedited; i.e., next day, 5-day, etc.?

Response: 5-days

b. How should expedited be priced?

Response: flat fee

c. How much of the previous work was expedited?

Response: Previous work is not an accurate measure of future needs.

Question No. 4: How to price the following:

a.

Video Response: Appearance fee plus per hour attendance b.

Room Response: Flat Fee c.

Delivery Response: Flat Fee

d. Additional Copies Response: Fee per page

e. Copying/scanning of exhibits Response: Fee per page

f. Overtime Response: Flat Fee Question No. 5: Who is the previous vendor and their price?

Response: There is no incumbent contractor for the required services.

Question No. 6: Could you please clarify CLIN 004? What is meant by “Deposition Transcripts and Exhibits?”

Response: This is the cost of Exhibits.

Question No. 7: How does this differ from CLIN 0002 and CLIN 0003 which are for deposition and copies of transcripts?

Response: CLIN 0004 requests the cost of Exhibits, CLIN 0002-0003 does not.

Question No. 8: Quantity for deposition transcripts and exhibits are usually in a per page quantity; what does LOT mean?

Response: Lot means large amount.

Question No. 9: How will the total price be calculated and compared when you have both a per hour rate (CLIN 0001) as well as a per page rate (CLIN 0002 and CLIN 0003) and then also a Lot (CLIN 004)?

Response: Average duration of deposition plus average page number of deposition.

Question No. 10: Will the EEOC be providing copies to the claimant or opposing party at no extra charge?

Response: No. If any other party wants copies, they will have to order it separately.
