Webinar Purpose and Request for Comments

Promote transparency in contracting

Learn of any barriers to competition

Discuss capability statements

Encourage potential partnerships between individuals and organizations with desired expertise

Review the key tasks/sub-tasks associated with the project and Capabilities

1. Identify any competition barriers.

2. Based upon your experience in information scanning and information dissemination, provide comments and/or questions on the work, scope, and timeline in the PWS.

3. Identify current work or recent work performed that is similar in nature to this work, including the federal agencies for whom the work is being performed or was recently performed.

4. Provide contact information, business size (including any socio-economic categories) and NAICS Code(s)

5. Provide current GSA contract numbers for applicable GSA Federal Supply Schedules

Capability Statements

Key Points:

OCTAE is looking for a thought partner

Contractor will not be developing or programming systems but should understand newest technology and trends

Contractor will be a hub to connect to experts and audiences

Describe capabilities in the five task areas:

Task 1: Design and Manage Challenge and Prize

Competitions.

Task 2: Conduct Literature and Industry Scans Task 3: Conduct Outreach and Technical

Assistance Task 4: Report Results and Findings Task 5: Planning/Facilitating Conferences, Events and Technical Assistance

Career and Technical Education

CTE programs provide youth and adults with integrated academic and technical knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in postsecondary education as well as the 21st century workplace.

Services are primarily provided in high schools or career centers at the secondary level and community colleges at the postsecondary level.

Career and Technical Education

This activity is authorized under section 114 (c)(1) of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins Act), which authorizes research, development, dissemination, evaluation and assessment, capacity building, and technical assistance with regard to career and technical education (CTE) programs.

Orders will be firm fixed-price

Discrete requirements will be issued through Task Orders

One or Two Task Orders will be issued at time of award of ID/IQ contract

Final PWS will be included in Solicitation.

Solicitation is expected to be issued in July 2014.

Award will be sometime in September 2014.

An award is expected during June, 2014.
