DTFH6815B00005 Revised 4/27/15 CA FLAP CR4S07(1), Convict Lake Road
4/7/15
QUESTION #1
I was looking at section 11 on page A-1 for the completion date and it states to refer to the subsection
108.01 which that states the project is to start when the Notice to Proceed is received then not to go longer than 10/9/2015. Could you please confirm when the Notice to Proceed is to be delivered and or how long the contract is to go for?
Response: The notice to proceed is usually dependent on the awarded contractor’s responsiveness. This includes payment and performance bonds, subcontracting plans, insurance and so on. Normally they are given 3-5 weeks after bid opening.
QUESTION #2
Nowhere does it give an estimated date as to when the low bidder will receive the Notice to Proceed. I am ordering the Bid Bond and I don’t want to shorten the length of the contract.
Response: The notice to proceed is dependent on the above items, you will need to estimate the number of working days based on an estimated NTP. Unfortunately I can’t give you a firm NTP date because I do not know when it will be given.
